I’m Sara McFadden, former Administrator and Small Business Owner, current grassroots activist and community volunteer. I ran in 2018 for FL State House District 106, and we are doing it again for 2020!
I got fired up in 2015 during the Presidential Primaries, changed my voter registration from NPA to Democrat and ended up joining the Collier County Democratic Executive Committee in 2016. Within seven months I was elected State Committeewoman; three months later I was appointed a Vice Chair of the state party.
I formed a Coastal Coalition of eight counties to bring attention, resources and training to SWFL. I hired a political consultant to advise potential candidates, and was encouraging people to run for office. I didn’t know one of the persons I was looking for would be me!
Our platform hasn’t changed – we support Public Education, our Environment, Healthcare, and Citizen Rights. Let’s hold our elected officials to their campaign promises and to their duty to represent US, not special interests. Please join me in standing up for our rights – the power of government belongs to the PEOPLE.
